Watch Hollywood News of 'Bloodshot' Comic Headed To Big Screen
Hey comic book turned movie fans, I'm Tatiana Carrier and I've news on the latest comic book character headed to the big screen. Deadline has reported that Sony Pictures has snapped up the rights to Valiant Comics series Bloodshot with hopes to turn it into the next big comic book franchise.
For those unfamiliar with the series, Bloodshot tells the story of Angelo Mortalli, a former mob hitman who is turned into a modern Day Frankenstein and the ultimate killing machine when he is subjected to an experimental program which infuses his blood with microscopic computers called nanites. The procedure erases his memories, but he is able to escape his captors and sets out to find out who he is and seeks revenge on the people who created him.
The film will be produced by Fast Five producer Neal Moritz from a spec script from writer Jeff Wadlow. X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn has been rumored to be attached to direct the film, but with an X-Men sequel in the works, we think this probably won't happen.
Does Bloodshot sound like it could be the next big comic book turned movie franchise? Let us know in the comment section and be sure to visit our Facebook page and click that "Like" button to stay informed on all the latest movie news.
