Mass Effect 3 is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Officially announced on December 11, 2010, it was scheduled for a release in the Holiday season of 2011. However, on June 6, 2011, Bioware revealed that the launch date had been put back to March 6, 2012. The game will mark the third and final chapter in the Mass Effect trilogy of video games.
