The Harry Potter Sequel tickets went on presale earlier this week, and according to Fandango's numbers, the 2D tickets made the top 5 ticket sales bracket, while the 3D tickets did not. Interesting, considering the reason we thought the potter franchise took the flick to 3d was for higher ticket sales.
Sales Anaylst Richard Greenfield has a theory on this shocking statistic. He says, "We continue to believe U.S. consumers are frustrated with the amount of 3D movies Hollywood is producing, especially when combined with excessive ticket prices."
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes out July 15th and presale tickets are now available worldwide.
